Mental health counseling is a form of therapy that helps individuals cope with emotional and psychological issues. It involves talking to a trained professional who can provide support, guidance, and tools to manage symptoms and improve overall well-being Counseling sessions can be conducted in person or online, and may focus on a range topics such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. We are located in Vancouver and also offer online sessions.

What are The Benefits of Counselling?
The counseling process is, in many ways, like an educational experience. The individual can learn more about him/herself, but also acquires new skills. Sometimes, counseling involves learning more about a particular condition (e.g., depression, anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD) by which the person is affected, so that he/she can better understand treatment options. Below are some examples of what clients can gain from personal counseling:
-
improved communication and interpersonal skills
-
greater self-acceptance and self-esteem
-
ability to change self-defeating behaviors/habits
-
better expression and management of emotions, including anger
-
relief from depression, anxiety or other mental health conditions
-
increased confidence and decision-making skills
-
ability to manage stress effectively
-
improved problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
-
greater sense of self and purpose
-
recognition of distorted thinking
We offer both in person and online counselling.
What is Trauma- Informed Person Centered Counselling?
Trauma-informed care recognizes the profound and lasting effects of trauma on a person’s well-being and ensures that therapy is conducted in a way that promotes safety, trust, and empowerment. It emphasizes creating a physically and emotionally secure environment where clients feel supported and understood. Building trust through honesty and transparency is essential, as is encouraging peer support to foster connection and reduce isolation. Clients are empowered with choices in their care, giving them control over their healing process. Rather than focusing solely on pathology, this approach highlights resilience and personal strengths, helping individuals regain a sense of self-worth and autonomy.
